Welcome to the home page of the percussion program at William Blount High School!

The indoor percussion program strives to instill excellent musicianship and life skills in its ensemble members. The program is a performance group that will strive for perfection at practice and performance alike. While competitions are the primary form of performance, we will strive for an internal love of the arts above all else. We adhere to the William Blount Band Handbook, the CIPA Handbook, and our own specific handbook.

We will be using this place as a meeting area between ensemble members, parents, and instructors to share ideas and to keep up with progress through the season. We’re pushing the envelope, as far as linking technology and high school performance ensembles. There’s nothing else in the East Tennessee area that is as ambitious as this!

Anyone can view and download the Ensemble Handbook by clicking on the tab at the top of the page at any time. Ensemble members will also be able to download .pdf copies of their music, which will allow them to leave their music folders in a secure place at school and still be able to practice at home. We will also upload photos, .mp3′s, and links to YouTube videos as the season progresses.
